. Spiritual, religious, and philosophic beliefs (or the lack of them) are and always have always been, the fundamental determining factors in controlling human conduct. They are the basic internal programming that determines human behavior. Beliefs, particularly beliefs about God, provide the basic guidelines for all human conduct. They are the basic ground rules for interpersonal relationships. Spiritual, religious, and philosophic beliefs are the sources of morals and ethics. They are the guidelines in conducting our daily affairs. They determine who we believe we are and how we relate to the world. We are, by our nature, spiritual beings. Our spiritual nature ' is a fundamental aspect of everything we do. Our religious beliefs cannot simply be translated into an act of worship and then separated from other activities. Whether truth or fantasy, our personal beliefs, both religious and otherwise, are the framework within which we each live our daily lives. Our beliefs create an attitude within us --- an approach to life that is often referred to as a belief box. ' That attitude permeates all of our activities. Our beliefs become the context ' within which we each live our daily lives. It is, therefore, appropriate for each of us to analyze our conduct, and the underlying beliefs which dictate our conduct. . The Two-Pole Either/or Choice: The majority of people in the United States hold Christian beliefs in one form or another. Most Christians have been programmed to believe that there are only two possible beliefs about God -- "their church's theology" or atheism. Christian theology simply ignores the beliefs of billions of people who believe in reincarnation, but that's another story for another time. ' Christian leaders conveniently ignore the massive amount of evidence (Biblical ' and otherwise)' pointing to the conclusion that Christian theology is burdened with a huge barge full of ancient, unprovable beliefs ' -- beliefs about what God is and isn't -- about the origin of the universe -- about the origin of man -- about how to relate to God -- about how to relate to the Earthly environment -- about how to relate to fellow humans -- about the destiny or every human -- Et cetera -- et cetera. Thos who follow the Christian leaders are told that anything not part of the presently-accepted theology is either patently false, ungodly atheism, or mythology. The leaders tell anybody who will listen that they (the followers) are not to listen to anything that is not part of that presently-accepted theology. The essence, they say, "If you listen to anything that is not codified, and sanctioned, Christian theology, you could lose your faith, fall victim to Satan, receive eternal damnation, an end up burning in hell forever." These beliefs are huge barriers against anything and everything that might threaten the power and control of the Christian leaders. This fear-based theology prevents otherwise-intelligent people from looking at the immense amount of evidence ' that has come into human awareness in the the past thousand years. The Underlying Context: Even though the Christian Bible clearly indicates that humans are inside God,` the vast majority of the present-day, Christian tenants and behaviors are based on the underlying belief (the Context) ' that God and man and nature are three separate things -- that God is out there somewhere -- that man is separate from God -- that both God and man are separate from nature. ***5 ` Is There
Another Way?
YES! There is another way to honor
Christian theology and
at the same time: There is a way to relate to God, to nature and to our fellow humans that expands Christian thinking. There is a way that is just as loving, just as mysterious, just as life-fulfilling as present-day Christianity, and at the same time, is infinitely more functional? There is a way to hold Christian values to still relate to and honor God, and at the same time, be in line with what the latest scientific evidence tells us about the nature of man and the nature of the physical universe and our relationship within creation. This new way simply alters how humans relate to God. It is a shift to relating to God from inside God instead of from outside of God. Such a shift is certainly not atheism. When the Earth was found to be round, that did eliminate God? NO! It merely changed human perspectives of God. Will relating to God as if one were inside of and an integral part of God eliminate God. NO! Will it destroy or threaten Christianity? NO! It will enhance Christianity and bring it out of the present-day dark ages. It will drastically alter our relationship to God, to nature, and to each other. It will significantly alter the human perspectives of God. And it will also precipitate major changes in human behavior. Bible Indicates Inside God ... It's Supported by Christian Bible. Since you so strongly believe in the Christian Bible, perhaps it's time to read some of the preciously ignored passages. The belief that God and man and nature are intimately interrelated and in perfect alignment is completely supported by the Christian Bible. Luke 17:21 -- John 10:34, 35 -- Isaiah 41:23 -- Psalms 82:6 -- Matthew 25:40 -- John 14:12 -- Mark 10:27 -- Ecclesiastes 3:19 -- John8:32 -- Proverbs 14:18 -- John1:1 -- Matthew 6:5-6 -- Romans 14:14 -- Romans 14:20 -- Genesis 2:7 -- Ecclesiastes 11:5 -- 1 Corinthians 2:14 -- et cetera. For the text of these passages, quoted and expressed in a story format, please see the page titled: Another look into the Christian Bible.° And it's also supported by the evidence. See the sections below. . |

.
. Soon after you entered a physical body on planet Earth, you began taking on someone else's definitions of who you are. In your early years, you took on a copy of who and what your parents thought they were. Your beliefs about who and what you are also came from other family members, from whatever religion your parents believed it, from your schooling, from your community, and from other aspects or your environment during your early childhood. On top of that you have added definitions based upon your own personal experiences. Unless you were one of the rare few who were brought up by self-aware parents, most of the definitions you accepted are either wrong or a distortion of who or what you really are. Most of the beliefs you accepted as a little child are a product of people living in very limited belief boxes. Many of your present beliefs originated at least a thousand ago. Unless you have done a significant amount of self-assessment, these definitions are intact today pretty much the way you learned them, took them in, and accepted them as a little child. Now that you have passed the age of reason, (about seven years old) you are at a point where you can make a choice. You can continue to believe the dozens of unprovable stories about life -- about who you are -- what you are -- about where you came from -- why you are here on Earth -- about God -- about what happens after your body dies -- and about all kinds of other things. Or you can examine the evidence and notice that: **
Many questions simply defy answers, **
Many other questions have more than one possible
answer, **
Many other questions have evidence regarding them
that make the present-day answers seem like
Alice in Wonderland fairytales. Changing false and dysfunctional beliefs is where knowing and properly applying the the technology of prayer (Theta Healing) can be extremely useful. You can tap into Creator's perspective, Creator's understanding and Creators definitions of all those things you presently believe to be "The Truth." For example, many people believe that you have to be poor to be close to God -- that you can't have an abundance of money and be close to God at the same time. This is a false belief and it is extremely dysfunctional. Via the technology of prayer, (as expressed by Theta Healing) you can release this false belief very quickly. As another example, many people believe that they are outside of God -- that God and man and nature are three separate things -- that God is out there somewhere -- that man is separate from God -- that both God and man are separate from nature -- that God is a superhuman-being living somewhere in the sky. The overwhelming scientific and circumstantial evidence points to the conclusion that this is a false belief. It's refuted numerous times in the Christian Bible.` and yet is this belief dominates the lives of millions of people. Again, via the technology of prayer, (as expressed by Theta Healing) you can release this false belief very quickly. This leads to the next question: If I am not an inherently evil sinner, separate from God , separate form nature, and separate from my neighbor -- if I don't need to grovel in the mud and beg an angry, fickle, vindictive superhuman in the clouds for favors, "Who and what am I?" and "How do I relate to The Creator of All That Is?" . |
.
.
. The Machiavellian politics of violence and war may have worked when the Earth was flat and God was a superhuman being who lived above the clouds. During the Dark Ages, violence may have been the only way to maintain a position of power and privilege in the harsh and grueling world. Those days are past. War and senseless violence to prove ones manhood are now as obsolete as belief that the Earth is flat. It's time to wake up an notice that we are still living under belief systems that have not been significantly updated since the time of burning witches. Heaven is not a physical place above the clouds. God is not a super human being who will bend the Rules of the Universe ² for those who prostrate themselves and beg for favors or kill and burn animals on sacrificial alters. Violence does not solve problems. We are not slave of a fickle, demanding, cruel, violent, unforgiving, vengeful, mass-murdering superhuman being who lives in the sky. There is no physical devil in a pit of fire beneath your feet. We are not separate from Nature. We are not separate from each other. We are not separate from The Universal Consciousness we call "God." Why are we still behaving as if those beliefs were definitions of reality? On the surface, we may have discounted these beliefs, but our behavior tells us otherwise. To fight something is to feed it the Universal energy and create more of what we fight. Violence begets more violence. The belief that we are separate from The Universal Consciousness is the most destructive false belief in all of human history Heaven is not a place. It's a state of mind. The laws of the universe ² apply to all, rich and poor alike. Cooperation solves problems. We are each an intimate part of nature. We are intimately connected to and dependent upon each other for our very survival. We are inside of and an integral part of the The Universal Consciousness we call "God." ² There is no such thing as the end of life. Physical death is merely birth back into awareness of ourselves as non-physical beings of Universal consciousness. Have you noticed that most of your world is not physical? Love, peace, joy, and happiness cannot be bottled and sold. Grief, pain and misery are not physical products, either. They are internal "feel good" or "feel bad" feelings. They are inside of us. They are internal only. Have you noticed that all those external, temporary trappings we call "My Stuff" are only valuable because of the internal feeling that we generate within our selves as we experience them in the external world? Who runs your life? Or more accurately what rules your life? Your beliefs, attitudes, expectations run your life. Faith or fear -- good or bad -- joy or misery -- are all internal. You live from the inside out. In the internal world of feelings, there are no victims, only unconscious creators creating by accident, happenstance or default. You live from the inside out. Your external experiences are a function of your internal thoughts. In terms of a brilliant idea, declaring war on your neighbor ranks right up there with drinking cyanide. |

.
I am a And so are
you. . We as humans live in and are constantly experiencing both the physical world and the non-physical world at the same time. Because our minds are focused primarily on the physical portion of reality, we tend to forget about and discount the non-physical portions of our lives. Here are some examples. . Emotions: How do you feel, emotionally? Basically, you either feel good or you feel bad. Feelings are not physical. Tactile sensations are physical, but feelings are not. Where is Love? Where is inspiration? Where is compassion? None of these are physical. Neither are anger, fear, and doubt. . The Voice Within: What is that voice that you hear incessantly talking in your head? It may be just talking or it may be telling do this, don't do that? That voice is not physical. . Thoughts Are First Cause: If you want to "be, do, or have" something, what always comes first? -- A thought. Thoughts are not physical. Everything in your physical life starts in the non-physical world of thought. Here it is in Christian biblical terms: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God." (John 1:1) Sit quietly for a few minutes, and think about what that passage means. . Where's Your Mind: Scientists have thoroughly examined every aspect of the human physical body looking for the human mind. No physical evidence has ever been found. Is your personal consciousness a function of your physical body, or is your physical body a function of your non-physical consciousness? Then the question is: "What and where is your mind?" It's not physical. . You Are a Multi-Dimensional Being: So, the truth is that you naturally and normally function in the non-physical world as well as in the physical world. You are, by your very nature, a multi-dimensional being. . Our
job, as Theta Transformation Facilitators,
is to show you how to become more
fluent in operating in both the
physical world and the non physical
world at the same
time. Before you can connect to God, you'll need to examine some of your beliefs about what God is and isn't and how He/She/It functions. Well begin in the sections below with some of the distinctions between the physical and the non-physical aspects of reality. Readers might also be interested in these essays: Do
You Believe in God ' .2 |
.
.
. If you are like most
people, you invite God / Creator/
Divinity to bless and be a part of your life. Obviously, everyone has his/her own way to approach
Creator/God.
After many years as a minister, after officiating about
fifteen-hundred wedding ceremonies, and after many years
of studying
religion, philosophy, and theology, some
common elements have become apparent.
They are shared with you here: To state this on a personal
level: "Within the
context of life on earth (co-created by and shared with
billions of other humans) we each, moment by
moment, create our own personal experiences." When one shifts his/her perspective
from viewing God as "out
there somewhere" to
understanding the "I am an integral eternal part
of God," this has a huge impact on
the person making that shift. God is just as sacred, just as
powerful, just an mysterious, and just as loving as before,
but when one's perspective changes, God is seen as a partner in co-creating one's life here on
Earth. The perspective that God is a fickle, vindictive, angry bearded superhuman being
living in the sky is relegated to it's rightful position
as an obsolete belief, placed gently and lovingly into
one's personal history book. Fearing God and
begging for favors also becomes
obsolete. When this internal perspective is
understood and accepted, it alters one's relationship to God
dramatically. It's so new, and so beautiful,
and so powerful, that many people simply cannot believe
that it's real. It's viewed as one of those
often-heard, too-good-to-be-true
stories. Speaking from personal experience
and from associating with dozens of others who have
successfully used this process, I can testify that it
is, indeed, very real and very effective. When one first realizes his/her own
inner power, many questions come up; chief among
them is "How do I fix the problems in my
life? That's what The
Technology
of Successful Prayer, is all about, but
that's another story for another time. ***3 |

. ***1 For detailed technical explanation of the technology that underlies Theta Healing, readers are directed to two videos: "What the Bleep Do We Know" and "Down the Rabbit Hole." They explain the human relation to the non-physical universe (the world of Spirit) from the scientific perspective with extreme clarity and in great detail. If you have even the slightest doubt about your relationship to Creator, (Are you inside or outside of God?) we recommend viewing these two videos. Both are available at http://www.whatthebleep.com/community/ ' . ***2 The belief that God and man and nature are intimately interrelated and in perfect alignment is completely supported by the Christian Bible. Luke 17:21 -- John 10:34, 35 -- Isaiah 41:23 -- Psalms 82:6 -- Matthew 25:40 -- John 14:12 -- Mark 10:27 -- Ecclesiastes 3:19 -- John 8:32 -- Proverbs 14:18 -- John 1:1 -- Matthew 6:5-6 -- Romans 14:14 -- Romans 14:20 -- Genesis 2:7 -- Ecclesiastes 11:5 -- 1 Corinthians 2:14 -- et cetera. . ***3 Actually and to get technical for a moment, with Theta Healing and Theta Transformation, you don't fix problems. You don't pray to an external God to fix them for you, either. You apply The Universal Laws of Creation to your life. First, you acknowledge that you have unconsciously created exactly what you are presently experiencing and then you take any physical actions required to deal with those physical problems, but otherwise, just allow them to be. You withdraw most of your attention from your problems. You give them only as must thought is required to deal with their physical manifestations. (Complaining, blaming, and/or feeling guilty are counter-productive. So, too, is fear, worry, and anxiety.) You then focus your mind on who and what you choose to be, do, have, express, and/or experience and apply The Technology of Successful Prayer to the rest of your life. For descriptive purposes only, let me give you a gross over-simplification of the process. It's something you can learn to do for yourself. (It's really rather straight forward and relatively easy to learn and it's dramatically effective.) Here it is in a nut shell: You shift your focus onto what you choose to create; get you mind into the alpha brain wave state; co-create your new choice with God; witness your creation as real in the world of spirit; then dig through your old beliefs and get them out of the way while waiting for your new creation to come into physical reality. It's called Theta Healing / Theta Transformation -- The Technology of Successful Prayer. You can choose to learn this technology or not. Either way is fine. If you choose to learn it, we can connect you with some people who can teach it to you. Even without learning The Technology of Successful Prayer, you can still put the process to work in your life by asking someone like Rev. Robert to work with you on your primary issues. But that, too, is another story for another time. If you'd like to learn more about this process, call 818/727-0727 or go to the page on this site titled: Theta Healing / Theta Transformation -- The Technology of Successful Prayer. '. ***4 To lie by mission is to intentionally withhold vital information from someone else. It's intentionally remaining silent when ethical behavior calls for one to speak up. A lie of omission is a method of deception and duplicity that uses the technique of simply remaining silent when speaking the truth would significantly alter the other person's capacity to make an informed decision. It subverts the truth and gives a false impression to the person from whom the information is withheld. It's a way to manipulate someone into altering their behavior to suit the desire of the person who intentionally withheld the vital information; and, most importantly, it's a gross violation of another person's right of self-determination.
